question about jdm type r motor help!!!!
Before you say use the search I already did thanks
Ok I did not want to ask this question but hell here i go. I was told that i got a jdm type r motor when I bought the car and I just dont know 100% for myself heres what I know I guess In the head i ck all the insides like dual valve springs, type r lma's, type r cams and pr3 so I guess the head is type r but now for the main question the block has p72 all over it but I did a compression test and I got these #'s 240 236 238 240 does this look right for a jdm type r. I really dont fell like taking off the head to find out so If any body has any kind of logic answers please tell me what you know thanks and sorry for the dumb questions
If any body dont know Ill just take it to a dyno to see what it does..
thanks to all helps out

i have to say that those numbers are high for stock and i dont think a gsr would hit that high, my guess is that you do have one but i cant say for sure either.

Re: question about jdm type r motor help!!!!
the type r motors do have alot of parts that will say p72, or other b sereis numbers due to them having interchangeable parts. theres no need to stamp every part differently, when some parts are identical.
