Default D16a6 Head -> D16y8/d16z6 block -> D16a6 head Will it all bolt up? Stock Crx mounts?

Im trying to piece together a nice build up and dont feel competent enough to build a block and it seems like people are only building d16y8's and d16z6 blocks

Ive already built my d16a6 head and am wonderring it it will bolt up to one of those blocks no problem and still aloow to to use the stock crx d16a6 tranny and stock crx motor mounts

Thanks

Well I personally thought I was going to build the block of my A^ myself, but I got a deal of this built A6 head in pieces and I put it together, and its built to ****, everything is bulletproof.
But I cant find a D16a6 built block pre done for **** from anyone. People are only building the other D series

But ya d16y8/d16y7,d16z6, d16a6 are all interchangeable?

Just use my crx mounts on the other block and it drops right in like stock?

What if I wanted to buy a timing belt.... it would still be the same...?

Also, anything special on compression or clearances I should be worried about?

Thanks

the d16a6 has the oil jet in the block, where the z6 and y8 have them in the head (i think). so you would be putting a head and block together with no oil jet. not sure how to get that to work, or get around it.

isnt the y8 head on an 16 block called a minime? Im ve never heard of people having that oil problem

But ya I want an alternative d16 block to mate to my A6 head, if its not compatable Ill just have to eat the cost and find a machine shop in another town

You might have to change pistons also to maintain a good static compression ratio. Good thing to take a look at.

Yes, you can do it. It will lower your compression though.
