best price on tein suspension
Why do you want the Type Flex? The Super Street coilovers can use the edfc, as well. The flex coilovers are too soft, anyway. Why do you want these? Have you explored any other possibilities; You know, other suspensions that match your driving style, better.
Carson Toyota in CA has great prices on Tein goods. Ask for Steve Ganz.
The FLEX are tuned to a more all around setup, the SS are more performance oriented with stiffer springs and damping to match. This was the case with my IS300 anyway.

Why bother with the EDFC....

Actually the SS has a less stiff front spring ang a stiffer rear spring.. The SS is actualyl less performance oriented then the FLEX. the SS is the lowest coilover model tein makes.

What about Tein's Basic Damper? And, no. The SS kit doesn't have a softer front spring on our chassis. But the DC5, for example does have a softer front spring with springs at 6kg in the fornt and 10kg in the rear; this goes for applications for rear-wheel drive vehicles.
The only real difference between the SS and the FLEX is that the flex has adjustable spring pre-load.

I was referring to a comparison.. the front spring on the flex is stiffer then on the SS, while the rear spring on the SS is stiffer then the rear spring on a set of FLEX. assuming no change to the rates urself.
