Are they both going to give the same HP numbers? Or are the slightly designed different?

 

good question...something i want to know before i buy my header

 

i bought the dc sports one. Its alot cheaper than the honda one. Not sure what the differences in hp are but im sure its minimal between both. Only thing i dont like about the dc one is that it hangs very low to the ground (and dents easy) The JDM one you wont be questioned either come smog time if you live in CA.

Its also alot thinner materila..which equals nice deep dents if you happen to bottom it out.

This is why I chose the JDM ITR instead of the DC. Ive had 2 DC headers before and both had bottomed out and the #3 "tube" was decreased to about 1/2 its original size. Ive hit the JDM ITR header as well, but it has only cause scratches on it and not deep dents. My car isnt "slammed" either...just lowered 1.8" via Eibach springs.

If you think about it. why would DC sports come out with a header that did worse than the jdm OEM header. Since Japanese people would be buying these same headers to upgrade from their stock header.
I can't be certain though, since some usdm headers probably work worse than their oem counterpart. But DC has come out with quality headers in the past. I dont' see why they would put out a header that doesn't increase performance.

If mugen or spoon came out with a header that performed worse their credibility would tarnish.
