Default a few concerns about my new turbo set up.

Hey everyone, Im not totally new to the turbo scene but I still don't know all of it yet, I recently bought a new garrett t3 with an AR of 60 compressor side and an AR of 48 exhaust side, along with the turbo came everything else to install it on a d16z6. Well I did the install last night, did all the welding and got Uberdata hook'd up (thanks Sohc_mshue). When we started the car up for the frist time, there was a HUGE cloud of white smoke, but it didn't smell like oil or antifreeze so we let it go and then It just got bigger and bigger and then I decided I take it out for a test drive It was fine after that. There were no changes on the temp gague, no oil leakes all was good. Every time now that i start up the car it somkes really really bad and it's all white smoke and when I drive it for about 5 min. it goes away??
Any thoughts?

Also, my internal WG actuator arm (that pushes the flapper open) is at an odd angle because of the way the turbo has to be clocked. The arm is hitting up against the WG it's self right where it comes out of the top. If that made since, would this have a negative effect on how my flapper opens? I know it's not sticking open because i almost had to strech the arm to get to the post on the flapper.

One more, Im using alum. pipes from my turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the IM im using steal thats welded. (Kteller sent me alum. and Im goin to just get it tig welded) But My prob is, Im not even making 5psi when under full throttle, it's goin to 4 or less it fluxuates. I think that it's just a mild boost leak and all will go away when I get it all tig welded. If any one else has this turbo or knows anyting about it, could you tell me what the internal WG is set for?

thanks and sorry it was so long

Bumo for the white smoke issues because thats strange that it would just go away....

Im willing to put money on a mild boost leak as well...

he took his car to a turbo place around town and they told him it was probably his return line being too flat. They said the oil was probably pooling up in the line. I think he fixed it now.
