welding galvanized steel... suggestions?

Default welding galvanized steel... suggestions?

i was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for welding galvanized steel to mild steel. the problem that i am running into is trying to weld chopped 18mm spark plug anti-foulers (galvanized) as 02 bungs on my downpipe (mild). anyways, lemme know what you think, thanks.

Get all of the galvanizing coating off before welding.....and I mean all of it. It contaminates the weld and also gives off toxic fumes that can injure you if inhaled. You will have to grind or sand the coating off, a simple wire wheel or brush will not get it all off.
