help! 450cc injectors running like crap, car sputters/hesitates
I installed the resitor box inline with the yellow black wires on my injectors. I also used the 10 ohm 10watt resitors inline with the power wires. When the car is running it idles like ****, it also stutters when you get on the gas. I am running uberdata and using my friends map (who has the same setup, I used his chip and mine, also burned an identical one from beerbongskick *** but it runs like ****.
I put the stock injectors in and reburned uberdata for the 240's and it runs great.
The only thing is the dsm injectors are sitting a bit out of the manifold seals, They arent flush like stock injectors. Would this really cause a problem? There is no fuel leak and I bored out the injector seals a bit but maybe not enough.
so basically could the injectors not sitting in the manfold close enough cause it to sputter and hesitate?

Yeah I am pretty sure the injectors are supposed to sit like that, mine do and they work fine. Did you have a wideband on your car when you were trying to get in running on the DSM injectors?
no wide band, but we used the same chip that my friend is using with the same injectors, resistor box etc. same setup.
my plugs are 6 heat range NGK platinums gapped to .35
Has anyone heard of jumping the injectors (direct from the battery with the resistor box to get them working), my friend just did this last night since his injectors have been sitting for a while. Plus I am gonna soak these injectors in cleaner

There is your problem. You dont need resistors AND a resistor box...

also....as in another method
i did not do both at the same time
just today i "jumped my injectors" hooking up the injectors to my battery directly.
left side to the positive and the right side to the negative, which opened up the selinoid in the injector.
I have heard of mechanics doing this to injectors that have sat unused for a long time

If your positive your wiring is correct, and your computer is in propper condition, then all signs would point to a faulty injector(s).
all of those are fine. it has to be the fuel injectors since it runs great with the stock ones in. plus there is 100% continuity and equal resistance aross each line for the injectors
you did take off the resistors from the + side right??? cause as the guy stated before you only need the resistor box OR the radio shack resistors on the yellow and black wire not on the + wire... cause if you have them on both sides it will run like ***...
What are you running in the way of extra resistance for the DSM 450s?
Are you using JUST the single 10ohm 10W resistors?
Are you using JUST the resistor box?
Are you using BOTH of them?
Please answer this as some of us probably think you have BOTH of them hooked up and this will cause you problems as you initially siad you had them both hooked up.

nah he mistyped it or something. First we tried just a resistor box and then we tried just those 4 10ohm resistors. Now were back to just using the resistor box. We never used them both at the same time.
yeah guys only one at a time, now we are using just the resistor box.
i shocked the injectors to make sure the solenoids are opening and i am gonna try it tonight.

I was having a very simialr problem with mine nit seating correctly was the only thing I could think of being the problem so I took off the fuel rail and honed out the mounting locatin alittle bit and was able to tighten the rail down more on a little better of an angle and the car ran alot better but also if the car was running and I sprayed carb cleaner around the injectors the idle would smooth right out.......not sure if this helps at all but just thought I would let you know....good luck
