Default valve train question

This may be an obvious question, but here goes.... I just purchased CTR cams and wanted to upgrade the valve springs when I get the cams installed. I was looking at the link http://www.lightningmotorsport...a.htm. Am I correct in assuming that I need 4 exhaust inner, 4 exhaust outer, 4 intake inner and 4 intake outer springs?

Also, has anyone else with this upgrade also installed new lost motion assemblies? Ive done some research on the internet and found mixed suggestions. Thanks

Default Re: valve train question (fenix77)

You need (8) of each type. IN/EX and inner/outer of each.

The engine has 16 valves, and eaach valve uses an inner and outer spring. 16x2 = 32.

8 IN (inner & outer)
8 EX (inner & outer)

You won't need to upgrade the LMA's as long as you've already got B18C LMA's.

Forgot to mention that you'll reuse the GS-R IN (inner/outer) springs on the EX side, so you only need to buy the P73 IN (inner/outer) valve springs.
