WASTEGATE Greddy Kit on a b16 what are the problems?
I have really been looking into this greddy kit for te civic SI which I beleive is an 18g but I have heard many things about this terrible integral wastegate. Are you guys having problems and could I get about 250hp out of a fully built b16 withought sleeving and not have to worry about "spikes" let me know guys im sort of new to this turbo thing thanks!

I have the exact same problem. The internal wastegate causes boost spikes then eventually stabilizes on mine. However I feel that with more boost I run I'll begin to see the boost fluctuate a lot more. As you can see I have the same problem he does at this is at only 8 psi.

would you not reccomend the greddy kit then? is there any way to get around this or make the kit run smooth? Im not too sure what a spike is so im really lost.

Its not that I wouldn't recommend the Greddy kit. It all depends on your goals. After a certain amount of boost you really need to go with an external wastegate setup. The internal wastegate that comes on the Greddy kit becomes useless after about 11psi.
The Greddy kit is a nice kit but it leaves you with more to be desired. Don't get me wrong...the turbo gives you a nice powerband. Almost linear from 3000 rpm on. I see that you're in Ohio....I'm not sure whether you guys have stricts emmission regulations like we do here in California. If emmissions is not a problem you should probably go with another kit. All I can say is that the quality of the Greddy kit is top notch.

You should be able to reach that goal with about 8-10 psi. You shouldnt have any problems with the wastegate at that psi. I use a mbc and my psi has always held steady.
