boost h22 or h23 ? ? ?
I have finally got everything set up and enough money for a swap and some boost and minor internals .... a local turbo shop recomended a h23 b.c lower comp??? i was thinkin h22 with fidanza fly, act clutch and sleeve the block for now wish i had mo money for internals ! ! has any one here boosted an h23 and what were the numbers it put up compared to an h22 boosted ? need some advice!
a friend of mine has an Teg... built Ls.Vtec with T3/T4 turbonetics and because so high comp. he runs real low boost 7 pounds any higher and it renigs... and thats what the guy at the turbo shop said too, not a good idea to run high comp vtec with boost.... just wanted to see what everyone else thought...
If you are going to run safe boost you will have to sleeve and build anyway, so why not go with lower compression on the rebuild? anyway, you will get a ton of power on either if you build and tune...

Only if its not a built H22. Built, both engines will be comparable. You could just save more money and get all your internals done at the same time. It beats blowing it up and starting over.

And definitely beef up those internals if your running anything over 7 pounds of boost
