Default 6.5 inch sub? (free-air)

basically, i dont want to put a sub in my car right now, but i still want a little bass...i use to have a kappa perfect 10 and i loved it, but im getting more into auto-x and i want to carry more things in my trunk so, im leaving out the sub...

basically im going for kappa 6.5 inch components in the front, but not sure what i can use in the rear, i want it to be like 150hz down, do you guys think i could just get another set of components and not put in the tweeter? or is there any actual small subs like that?

There are some companies who manufacture 6.5" and 6"x9" subs for factory location applications.

Do a search on the web.

you get a decent amount of bass, i know it wont be ear shattering, but you can distinguish the different sound levels?

So I called him on it, I told him if he got 4 x 6.5" Eclipse and an Alpine HU,[7893 or better] and we installed it for him,[ 95 teg] and he still thought it can't be done, The install would be free,[about $250 with parts] I still have the $250 94

what about getting something like an 8" sub in a small removeable box. at least that way you have the bass you want and when you want to go auto x-ing you can pop it out. this way you can take out the rear speakers all together and save the 5lbs.

Kicker SSMB6 6.5" Sub
125W RMS
250W Peak
30-500hz
2" mounting depth
made for free-air use

The power requirements would reccomend the use of an amp, but an amp that small would be easy to hide/mount out of the way.
