Default What do i use to stick on my "H" emblems?

Hello guys, i just got some OEM silver "H" badges and the "HONDA" badge . Now my question is what should i use to stick them on? I dont wanna use anything permanant or damaging to the paint. I might wanna take them off, you never know. So to those of you who have put the "H" stuff on your tegs, what should i use so it will look good and hold up to the elements?
Thanks,
Ben.
Here is the pic of what i am talking about.

Double sided tape, just put it on the back and trim it with a knife or scissors.

i used to use double sided tape but they always came off after awhile. so i decided to ultra bond them. i wanted them on so i was happy about it. of course i dont care about my paint now seeing my car was stolen.

I'm sorry but if you are not going to contribute please do not post. The point is I want to badge my car as a Honda Integra. Please do not start this debate. I am just looking for a straight answer from those who have done this-and yes there is a lot of people on H-T.

Sorry, if you did not understand, these are old, used "H" emblems from some old *** accord probably. They do not have adhesive on them. That is why I am asking what to use to adhere it nice and securely.
Also off topic, but necessary, 1quickLS could you link me to pics of whoever that is in your avatar I have seen it soo many times and i am just dying to see the rest of the pics. Thanks dude.

Go to an auto parts shop and get the "trim" double sided adhesive tape...it's by 3M. It's the same material that's used in oem parts...or close enough... make sure the surface is clean (use rubbing alcohol) it wont hurt paint...cause paint can withstand gasoline...then stick...make sure you have a good xacto knife to trim the tape ...good luck

Oh..if a home depot is nearby you find the adhesive tape there but it's wider...I've always found it in the painting section...

double sided tape never lasts with me. I dunno if anyone has done this before, but i used my silicone gasket maker. Not hard to put on, and we u remove it, it just rubs off leaving no marks at all!

Hmm, where do you get that silicone gasket stuff from? I might have to try that. Also the "HONDA" emblem is pretty old and dirty. Does any one know a safe way to shine it up that wont hurt the finish?

Well, that was my concern in part. You see, I do not want something that is super strong that i wont be able to remove w/o hurting paint, but i dont want it to be too easily removable where any jack-off can come and ****** it or it might fall off. Ahh, now i know, basically what i am getting at is I want something like OEM strength/style adhesive that the "A" emblems came on the car with. Hope that helps. Also what is that clear RTV stuff?

well double sided tape will work but no matter what you use unless its super glue anyone can take it off, and i dont think you want to use super glue. So just use doule sided tape

i just did the same thing on my integra. i used double sided tape, and just put it on and put pressure on it with my hand. ive had it on for about a month and it still seems strong. and even using little tiny piece to cover the back of the H..they are still sticking. double sided tape works well. i even tried to pry on it a bit, and its hard.

I got my emblems on today. It was a bitch to take off the front "A". Also it took forever and was really difficult to remove a **** load of adhesive residue left over after i took off the "ACURA". So be ready if you are gonna pull that one, you have been warned. I went ahead and used some 3m mounting doublesided tape. It sticks pretty good I gave it a good few tugs and pulls and it didnt pry up. I might not put on the "HONDA" badge it is kinda old, scratched, faded, etc. I am looking into somehow sealing the little holes and touch up painting. If anyone has any info on an easy way to do this let me know. About someone stealing them, If they really want them, ****, Ill let them take them without damaging my paint at least. I just dont want it to come off from regular wear and tear. I dont think it will though. I stuck them on in the nice hot sun and 95 degree heat, that ought to make it stick.

wen u took off the A emblem and it left behind that sticky stuff u can get it off easy with "goo gone" it wont hurt your paint and also to cover the holes for the Acura emblem..you can use bondo..let it dry..sand it so it'll be even with the trunk(make sure u dont scratch ur car paint)..tape around it primer it let it dry and paint it with the oem color paint
all this adds up about 15bucks 5 for primer..5 for oem paint..5 for bondo get it all at any autopart store

so whats better theres all kind od RTV silicone gasket maker
