You've gotta take off your door panels and rear plastic ones. From there you'll need a set of needle nosed pliers to pinch the clips to release them from the sheet metal.
EDIT: Forgot the fenders. You gotta take the fender off if you want to remove the molding w/o messing anything up. I just straight ripped mine off because I was shaving them anyways and didnt care if it fugged anything up.

Some cars (hatches mostly) have like an ashieve that holds the moldings on that you could peel off.
Coupes have clips that you could just yank off and break (thats what i did) if you dont car about them.
Or do what ^ he said if you want to keep them.
