Default Dash BRAKE idiot light

The light came on the other day for a few minutes. When i tapped the brake pedal it went out... then came back on. It did this for 1 trip on a cool morning. I was out again today, and it is cool again, and the same thing happened. What logic makes up that brake idiot light? And yes.. the fluid level is fine!!

Take off the filter in your brake master cylinder. See if the light stops staying on.

If there's nothing wrong with your brake system then this is the problem.

Check the adjustment of your parking brake cable. Pull off the center console and take a look at it. I know if it's too tight, it may cause the brake light to come on. I think this is what you are reffering to.

The brake cable sounds reasonable because the light will go on if you drive for a little bit with the e-brake on.

ive got the same problem. i havent checked my brake fluid yet, but im pretty damn sure thats it. i got the car with **** brakes apparently THANKS RIVERSIDE ACURA POS. anyway, im going to do a flush and get new rotors and pads. one of the rotors was warped when i bought it and they "lucky for me" resurfaced it no charge. except i have no money now, so.. might be a little while

As I posted above. 97-01 integras have a problem with the filter in the brake master cylinder resevoir. Take out this filter and see if the problem goes away. Clean it if it has gunk in it.

I had the same probelm.
