Default Removing Stock E-Brake Handle

I got a new Emergency Brake handle because the stock one is a little too small for my hands, and I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting this stock one off, how exactly does it come off?

Can anyone help me please?

It just slides off, but its extremely tight. Try spinning it left/right while pulling it off to make it a little bit easier.

Ended up going at it with a hand jigsaw and a flathead screwdriver, took a good 30minutes but I got it off
