Re: e-brake handle removal (siqcivic)
haha... i went into my garage thinking this hole thing would take me ten minutes... ended up taking me 45 min!!! if you have a dremel and don't care about your old ebrake just cut that shiet off.. keep cutting and cutting till you can rip it off... then put your new one on and hope it fits.. to get mine to fit i had to cut into the metal cover and shave it down with my dremel.. even tho it took long itlooks great!! // lata Rj

Re: e-brake handle removal (bzyrice)
it can be done without hurting the OEM one...but I didnt have the patience.
I heard if you spray wd-40 down the button hole and let the car sit in the sun all day you can muscle it off.

Re: e-brake handle removal (Feuerraeder)
On a very hot day, after my car baked in the sun, I wrapped a cloth around the ebrake and locked a mini vise-grip onto it and spun and spun and spun while pulling on it. Took no more than 5-10mins.

Damn, I'm looking for a stock parking brake handle and you guys are removing yours. Any of you guys by chance have your stock on, in good shape, for a black interior EH?
