Default No gas in town..help...

Hurricanes are ****** killin me down here in FL..theres no premium gas ANYWHERE...

my question is, will regular work? 2001 GSR with just headers...in need of a fill up..

Regular will be ok. Your car has a knock sensor so regular grade won't do any damage.

its really bad..i can hardly get regular 87 anywhere...were in bad shape down here, and there might be another one on the way...

you need high octane only when you are revving hard
dont forget that at high revolutions the conbustion chamber is
hotter than regular therefore fuel tends to ignite faster even without
a spark.
so octane is like a retardant so it wont ignite without the spark
the car operates fine between the 3k to 4k range so drive it
like a normal car...

You will be fine with regular as long as you don't drive it hard and don't keep filling it up with regular.

this is what id suggest! thats what i was gonna do but now we have gas so i didnt hafta do that! drive to Tampa! we have gas!

you do realize that octane booster that raises your gas up to 4 points higher is going to make 87 into 87.4, not 91...

you would be better off just taking it easy on that tank
