Default 94 accord door locks

About a year ago my 94 accord lx starting an odd phenomenon. When I lock my automatic door locks they will repeatedly relock themselves for approximately a minute and then stop. They do not lock, unlock, they just keep locking themselves. The door lock pin does not move at all either. This doesn't seem to affect anything its just very annoying. Anyone experienced anything like this?

Yep, for most of the 9 years I've owned my Accord. I took it in whilst under warranty. Started up again shortly after that. I haven't bothered to take the car back in. Mine don't actually lock and unlock, tho the pin doesn't move. Mine just redoes the last action taken, relock if already locked, unlock if already unlocked. Over and over and over, randomly and with no apparent reason.

I guess sooner or later, your door lock is gonna buzz everytime you lock it.

That might happen, mine does occasionally. I plan to have mine fixed now that I've received a free oil with any service coupon

you have a left frt door actuator going bad. master door actuator controls all the others. wouldnt recommend to do it yourself pretty hard if your not experienced. if any other door locks do not work at all that one is bad. its a very common problem with acoords.

Yup, the acctuator is bad. Try replacing it with one from a salvage yard as a new replacement is a tad pricey.

You're saying that bc my passenger side lock is going, I have to replace my driver's side also? That sucks.

we were all under the assumption that since they were clicking, it was the master control in the driver door, which is part of the driver door lock actuator/solenoid. if it is just your passenger door, then just replace that one.

honda needs to be fixing all our pos actuators and window regulators for FREE because they built them carelessly in comparison to most cars of earlier years than ours (96 ex)

Meh, not a common problem though... I work at a dealer and only hear of that once ina blue moon... but yeah it one of two things... bad actuator or bad door lock control module... only had to replace one of those in my years at the dealer though...

I am having several problems with my 94 Accord lx . Door locks , RPM surges from 2000-600 and back . Drivers side window regulator has gone out on me twice . My car will die if I come to a stop quickly . The speedometer only works when it wants to and it seems like it has lost alot of power . I have talked to several people and they all seem to be clueless ? Any Idea what might be going on ? I could really use some feedback.
Thanks,
Feeling hopeless and frustrated

Dude i dont know what little town you leave in but here in houston... we see too many with that problem, and its the drivers side actuator causing all off them to act up replace the drivers side first that will take care of the problem...but i got to warn you is not an easy task to replace i would take it to the nearest shop....and please just buy a new on is just like $50 bucks... good luck....i take it here in houston we have a blue moon every day..
