Default Type R front end conversion on a GSR

Can a person bolt on the Type R front end on an Integra GSR. Are the fenders, hood, bumper different?? If i kept the GSR fenders could I still bolt on a type R bumber and lip?

If your little Honda guy in your avatar wasn't wearing a condom and got the Nissan preagnant, I wonder what kind of car the Nissan emblem would pop out? What would it look like? What would you call it? a "Hondssan"? Would it be two door or four door?

Well.....Yes and NO.

The catch is.... it will only bolt on if you swap radiator supports, which means you need to drill, align, and weld.... not to mention you need to cut the two sides back on the US chassis to properly fit the jdm radiator support.

So yeah, it does bolt on when you have the radiator support installed.

well since the male carries the x gene and the female carries the xy gene (I suck at biology) I would say that a civic with skline talilights and a Inline Vtec 6 cylinder would pop out

It needs to be specified in the original post if you are talking about a USDM or JDM type R front. Im sure you mean JDM but I don't want confusion.....

If its a JDM front then well you've got most of your answers in here already. If its a USDM front end then yes it'll bolt up perfectly fine and all those parts are interchangable. Either way both look a lot better then the GSR/LS front end. Im rocking the USDM ITR front bumper right now, I definately wouldn't change back.

Isnt the radiator support part of the front end. I was told that the front end would bolt on because it fitted for the conversion???

yea u can do put the jdm type R front end on, but i wouldnt suggest modifying your usdm fenders for the conversion. Just get the complete conversion. Here's my gsr w/ jdm front end.

dude.....

you need to do some more research....

you obviously don't know fact from fiction...

Even if you buy an entire frontend, nothing will bolt up correctly. The JDM radiator support is the key here.

NO you cannot just bolt on the Radiator support.... it is Welded to the frame!!! and the sides of the frame need to be cut back so that the JDM rad support (which sits farther back) can align properly.

You need to drill out the welds on the US Rad support Remove the whole Rad support or just change the "T Bar" Align and weld on the new one.

Only after you have done this will you be able to bolt on the rest of the parts.

you need the hood latch from a 90-93 integra or flip your old one backwards. also you need the hood release cable too.

Finally you need to rewire the lighting so that all the lights will work.
