Default another OBD0 to OBD1 thread, please help!!

ok guys, im stuck in a situation where i desperately need some help...

I have a 0bd0 b16a1 currently in my EF, and im thinking about converting it to obd1 just to make it legal in CA. I've read the article on g2ic.com, great article but i still have some questions.

==taken from the article==

Required Parts:
-obd0 to obd1 conversion harness
-obd1 distributor (make sure its one that fits your engine)
-obd1 ecu (make sure its one that will work with your engine)
-4 wire heated O2 sensor (preferably one with Honda connectors)
-obd0 engine harness

----------

here's what im concerning about:

1. do i need a obd1 header since the obd0 b16 header comes with 2 o2 sensors? or is there a way to bypass that?
2. do i really need obd1 intake manifold & TB since the obd0 TB doesnt have a map sensor and obd1 requires one? and the obd0 IM has all kinds of vacumm hoses on it.

im trying to keep the EF alive, so please help a fellow HT member out...thanks!!!

1. Plug the hole.
2. No. I have an obd2 manifold. If you decide to get and obd 1/2 manifold you just reroute the vac lines as follows fpr to im, pcv to im, brake booster to im, and tb to map sensor on the firewall.

I'm planning to do this soon.

so the obd1 ecu will not throw any codes even if i dont have a map sensor?
thanks for helping me out eda6 hb

You have a map sensor on the firewall. Connect vacuum hose from tb to map sensor.
