Since Im not authorized to post in the F/I thread for some reason...I need to know what all I need other than a exhaust manifold for my b16 in a crx if I pick up a sohc greddy trubo kit from a friend. How will a manifold with an external wastegate act with the greddy turbo that has an internal one? also any suggestions for fuel/air control on a stock motor.

 

buy the b series mani that will bolt to the greddy turbo. If it has an external wastegate flange then you can buy a block off plate so you can use the internally gated turbo. Otherwise you need a different down pipe if you go with an external wastegate.

 

kewl, thanxs mayn....wait do you mean just a dump tube for the wastegate and or an actual different down pipe off the turbo as well?

The TURBO downpipe won't change regardless of the wastegate choice. You will have to add a dumptube if you run the external unit.
