Where do you guys get your thick gauge piping for turbo exhaust manifolds
I have been searching the internet trying to find thick gauge (8-10 gauge) 304SS U bends but I cannot find them anywhere. The thickest U bends I have found so far are 14 gauge and I dont want to use that as it will shortly crack I am sure. If anyone knows of a place who sells thick gauge U bends (not 90 degree short pipes, cant use those for the design I want) that would be awesome.
Also, whats the optimum inside diameter for turbo exhaust manifolds? I've heard 1 3/8" is plenty to a lot of horsepower.
Thanks guys,
David

Yea I really dont think its neccessary to make them that thick. Everyone says the thinner walls crack, but ive never seen a tube crack, only the weld. So if you weld it right, there shouldnt be a problem...
a turbo header/ manifold is not dually designed to work as two things it's designed to flow exhaust gas not to hold up a turbo build a properly designed tripod mount and that will virtually eliminate the cracking issues
