Zydne users....so who is running the biggest injectors in here with it?
i dont think you can go bigger than 750 or so, if you go bigger, you cant turn them down far enough to idle.
not sure... but i'd say go for it... just because it hasn't been done (that i'm aware of anyway) doesn't mean that it can't be... you may have to raise the idle rpm a bit, or maybe go a bit lower on your fuel pressure, and compensate for the lower fuel pressure on the rest of the map...
May not hurt to call up Bill at ZDyne, and see if he has any customer experience with injectors that large... if anyone will know, he will

I've got 550's and at cold idle it's puking black smoke like woah. Once the O2 warms up, it gets better.

You need somebody to fine tune in cause my 550s run beautiful and dont smoke at cold idle even down to zero,I think the coldest I started it was 5 below...but the forged pistons didnt sound too good at those temps

I guess I'm gonna sell it then and go with a accel gen 7 unit.

If you ditch the injector resistor **** box and run matched impedance injectors + drivers, then you'd be amazed what you can idle. Injector driver box 4 lyfe!
Also keep in mind that injector deadtime varies a LOT between different brand/construction injectors. You may not have been able to idle 1000cc units of your particular brand, doesn't mean they can't be idled even with a resistor hack box.

With an injector driver box? Only if you pick the wrong one, or lack the resources to build your own.
I aint no electrical engineer and I lack the resources/have no clue/have no time to build my own...so where can I find the right one off the shelf?

I rarely, if ever, buy finished Brand Name products for my car. I'd rather - or is it my daughter rathers - spend as much money as possible at the local shopping malls, the Kid's Gap, movie theatres, birthday parties, holidays. My car usually gets something lovingly hand crafted from scrap over 14 hours of back breaking labor when I could have bought a better piece for $20 shipped from an online vendor.
Mikes01GSR, however, runs an injector driver box and it cleared up some idle/part throttle issues with his Hyundaidata/1000cc injector combo. I'm sure he could advise better than I.

On that subject, I know of Zdyne/900cc combo, idles steady at 1000 rpm. The trick is the IACV, Steven was having problems until he blocked off the stupid thing.

Why yes...it idles just fine. Aside from a slight rich condition when cold....but they are 900cc injectors. IACV blocked off, and idle screw fruxor'd with..works just fine for me. I don't see any reason why I couldn't run larger injectors if I needed...Though if I need anything bigger than 900cc I don't think i'll have to worry about idling the car at stoplights anymore.
