testing an igniter unit
is there a test procedure for check to see if an igniter unit is still good or not? my manual says ther eis, but then its not in the manual. does anybody know how? this is the igniter unit in the distributor NOT the ignition coil, i already know thats good.
I was hoping to have my manual here that shows you how to test the igniter. If memory is still on my side, I believe measuring the middle to outside pins should be 50 ohms. I have to double check when I get home though.
thats helpful, but thats for testing the wires, how can i tell if the unit itself is faulty. i assume i can test the resistance on it, but on which terminals and in what range shoudl it be?

Home skillet, I would die to have a copy of that manual! Would you be so kind as to email it to me? My email is josh@wiredspeed.com. I would be forever grateful! (I have a high speed connection, so it would not be a problem for me to receive it if you have a good means for sending it.)
for future reference, if u search google u can find the PDF's EVERYWHERE.
i really cannot believe people still dont have them!
