best way to keep check light away and tuning tips
I have a 00 si and was wondering whats the best way to make sure the check engine light doesn't come on: missing link;gm3bar, I've read mixed reviews. will be running 6-8psi on stocks 450cc vafc2,good starting point for tuning and which way would be better to keep light away

Ummm...avoid things that will cause ECU error codes. Just a thought

I was gonna say that

u want to know when the light comes on. u then close the loop and see where the error is, fix the error before its a problem. otherwise if it makes u feel better u can dissable the light with a stand alone or just unplug the bulb.

missing link and gm map sensor are good if u are low on money i htink u can make a check valve. but regardless its probably gonna come one sooner or later.
1. If you try running the gm 3bar with the stock ecu your going to get a check engine light because the ecu is not calibrated for the map sensor.
2. You shouldnt run a missing link when your using the VAfC because the purpose of the missing link to hide boost from the ecu but if you using it in conjunction with the VAFC, the VAFC will read and display falses reading. My recommendation 1. get a better fuel management(hondata, aem ems, etc). or 2. take out the gm 3bar and the missing link(if you have them installed). just run the vafc and the 450cc injectors. you can use the vafc to control the fuel for boosting. just do a search for the "VAFC HACK". You can use this for low boost until you have enough money to get a type of real engine management. My 2 cents.

If ur gonna keep the boost within 10psi, ur ok with the 450's and the afc. but remeber to retard the timing a lil bit at the dizzy.

That is wrong. Do a search or just think about it and you'll see why.
