bleeding brakes on tegs with ABS
This is for '95, like your screen name... In '98 there's a whole different system. Normally you do this after bleeding the main brake lines.
There's a bleeder valve on the ABS module, between the reservoir cap & the accumulator. Put a hose on that & drop it in a bottle. Make it tight because this has lots of pressure. Open the bleed screw slowly & carefully. Too much & it'll blow the hose off. There's enough pressure for the brake fluid to cut thru your skin.
Start the engine & let the ABS pump itself back up. Repeat until the reservoir's empty.
Fill the reservoir with fresh fluid. Repeat the bleeding a few times but keep refilling the reservoir. Repeat until you don't get any more air bubbles.

Is it the same brake fluid as the reg brake system? I got some Prestone Dot 3 for ABS systems...Is this okay?

Is it the same brake fluid as the reg brake system? I got some Prestone Dot 3 for ABS systems...Is this okay?
