should i go with skunk 2 stage 1 cams or itr cams for my 00g sr???
I have a 4 door 2000 gsr and i need to complete my setup.
Currently i have dc 421 header, greddy sp,vafc2,skunk 2 im,comptech intake/icebox, itr tb,and im going to get the skunk 2 stage 1 cams and cam gears which is on sale now for 629 shipped, sounds like a good deal. What do you guys think.I will eventually have it tuned and this will complete my setup on my gsr.Im hoping to use as my daily driver and increase powerband mid to top end power,Hopefully want to see an increase of up to 17whp.im not planning to rev past redline. How many of you gsr guys have skunk 2 stage 1 on your gsr. What did you guys dyno at.

Look in the performance classifieds...buddy club spec III + cams w/ cam gears for $599 shipped. The Buddy Club's have a better mid-range than the ITR cams or Skunk 2 S1's and 2's. The top end is awesome too. Remember it's the useable power that counts

Skunk2 Stage 1 are way better than ITR cams. I had both and made 15whp more with the Skunk2 Stage 1 cams... btw, I have some Skunk2 Stage 1 cams for sale..https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=986348

i had skunk stage 1's and they made 179whp with basic bolt ons. i was happy with them. Plus if you really want to think of the positive things, i installed a set of itr cams for a friend and his vtec sounded like sohc compared to mine. but choose what you want.

194.6 whp without cam gear tuning, and with the injectors maxed 100%. We were expecting easily 200+ whp on them, but I decided to sell the car. Stock bottom end, only VAFC tuning.

the skunk2 stage 2 cams advertise better gains but you have to have upgraded valvetrain and it affects your stock idle. for the most part, I think that these stage 1's are the best bet. especially if you get some cam gears and an intake manifold and get them tuned, that **** would be tight.
