bleh, it's like 20 lbs at most...not much. Look in a Hayes/Chiltons or Helms manual for all the bolt and fastener locations...

in the middle of each sitting area there is a plastic clip. pull on it and lift at the same time.

then there is a bolt under the carpet on the back. un screw that and itll come out.

Gutting the rear of the car is worthless. If you gut every thing, you wil MAYBE save 20 lbs.

The rear seats literally weigh 3lbs each. You will see.

I took out the rear seats, and the rear panels and they seriously weighed like 10 pounds. And plus it's loud as **** when you drive around. And people get in your car and are like "where the **** is your backseat". Unless you plan on taking out ALL your interior.... just leave it in there.

Oh, lol nevermind my previous post. You will have to cut out all the metal framing **** if you plan on having the sub box in the trunk, and the subs facing the drivers seat. A wall I guess people like to call it. Or are you talking about having the subs in the back seat, not in the trunk?

Pulling out the rear seats is way too easy. It seems hard at first(in your head)... but once you start on it you'll be like, "oh that's it"?. Good luck.

I would suggest to not take off these seats.

Not only they are very light, but also if you would remove them the car becomes noisly... The sponge in rear seats is a good sound insulator too.

Especially you would hear noices from rear suspension and exhaust.

yup i'm putting the subs in the back seat. 2 facing forward and 1 facing out the trunk. won't the box block the noise from the suspension and exhaust?

thanks for the help again guys.
its really helping me out.

no, the box wont. But the 3 Giant subs with amps should be able to drown out any sound (including low flying jets) So lemme get this right. You are going to remove your seats because you want to save weight and because no one sits back there, yet you are going to fill it with sound equipment. Call me silly but.... doesnt sound equipment weight about 5 times as much as the rear seats ?

i'm taking out the seats more for the sound than the weight. i jus wanted to know how much i would drop.
