ZC Help
Is it a dohc zc head? if so then its not gonna mount to nothing but a dohc zc block. If its a sohc zc head then it will mount to your exising d series block but why would you want to do that
lol, theres no such thing as a SOHC ZC motor or head. ZC is DOHC efi non-vtec for JDM, D16A8 is DOHC efi non-vtec for EDM, D16A9 is DOHC carbs non-vtec for EDM. know what youre talkin about before you open your mouth.
Why don't you know what you are talking about before you open your mouth *******.

Well bro i really hate to get a flame started but there is such thing as a sohc-zc. So it would be wise to get your facts straight before you post about something.
There is indeed a SOHC ZC, and get this there is a SOHC VTEC ZC, they are very rare though, I have only seen a couple but they do exist. Now as for the original question, if its a DOHC ZC head that this shop is trying to sell you it won't fit on any blocks other than a DOHC ZC block OR an 86-89 Teg block.

Maybe the guy at the shop meant a Z6 head (92-95 sohc vtec), but said a ZC head instead. Verify with him what kind of head he is talking about and from what motor it came from. It is possible.
Hahaha...dude don't worry about it. We all learn something new everyday.
I have made misinformed posts before too so I know where you are coming from.

Actually there is a SOHC ZC. and the way to prove that is because i have a SOHC ZC in my car and when u look at the engine code it says ZC carved in. So there is a SOHC ZC I have one and my cousin also has one.
after doing some much needed research i found there is indeed a SOHC ZC motor, two in fact, one with dual carbs that produced 105hp, and one that is PGMFI which produced 120hp, sorry to all those i offended, ill take my foot out of my mouth now.
