Wierd revving sound coming out of my 00 SiR

When I rev it sounds different all of the sudden, a little more high pitched? wtf? Any ideas? could a belt is off ?

man...that could be just about anything....and without being able to hear it I doubt anyone will be able to give you an answer for it. Just check it all over..

your going to have to be more specific than that.

does it happen at all rpm?
with or w/out load?

Is this a sitting still rev? It could be a vacuum leak or just the air being sucked past the TB plate.

It turned out to be the power steering pump. The ******* this is going to cost me $900 CDN, Fawk... Has anyone else ever had troubles with their power steering pump?

Haven't heard of it recently.

Check out the classifieds and you might be able to find a used one for UBER-cheap.

Save yourself a bunch of money. Just get rid of your power steering. Its free horsepower (ok, so only like 1hp), but its not like you really need it anyway. I think the steering actually feels more responsive w/o p/s. Good luck whatever you do!
