Default Type S Pistons.... question

I have a H22 from a 99 lude thats going into a hatch....so its a h22a4
i'm looking into getting TypeS pistons, and i read somewhere that some people needed new rods...

do i need new rods or is that only when putting typeS pistons in a H22a

I thought i read somewhere that eagle rods or H22a4 rods worked fine.

any body know about this??

Yep H22A4 rods work perfect from the get go with Type-s pistons, this is because H22A4 rods already have the floating wrist pin design, unlike the H22A1 or earlier produced JDM H22's that have pressed fit pins in the rods.
