JDM ITR Throttle body extra hose??? what for???
ok, just received back my 70mm ITR TB from MaxBore, which by the way did an AWESOME JOB!!!
Thx Jorge.
Anyway, my question is what is the extra hose on the JDM TB has that the US ones don't have and what does it do, and how to hook it up properly???
I looked at Lucky-R's one the last time, and it didn't have this extra hose.
JDM ****** should know..............
Please tell me what it is for, it is circled in red.

hehe... I wish...
I only got me a GSR, but a jdm ***** one at that
,
anyway, I swapped manifolds, so I purchased this one from HK and sent it to MaxBore to get it done before I put it on my car, and noticed the extra hose.
hopefully someone knows, otherwise I'm just gonna cap it off when I install it.

same guess here, but the last time I looked at Lucky-R's one, (I took pictures) it's not there.
wonder why only the JDM Bling one has this and the US one doesnt.

If it's relevent to a JDM model only, I would guess that it's some kind of vacuum line running to some sensor for smog check reasons of one or the other.
Considering there is a limit of how many miles a JDM car can clock, maybe this is just relative to that. If it wasn't on your GSR and was not on a Type R, I'd just cap it off and forget about it.

Since I'm talking with a fellow guy from the Islands....man I could really go for some Cholo's right about now. I've been dying for one of their burritos....
I did a search
, hehe...
yeah, someone mentioned it was a vaccum line for the Evap.
but I thought for 96+ one end goes to the evap can, and the other goes to the IM manifold? Oh well, I guess JDM Bling for yah....

I have the same throttlebody. I didn't hook anything up to that thing you circled in the picture, and no problems...

That won't pose a problem if you're on OBD1?

No. That nipple just goes to atmospheric pressure on the front side of the throttle body through a couple of metered holes in the barrel of the throttle body. Cap ****.
