Watching the video makes the design grow on me. Looks good. I want a JDM Type-S emblem, door sills, and Type-S cluster! Ooooo.

Have a look at Hondata's dyno charts of the '05 K20Z1 motor in the thread in this forum.
The '05 Acura RSX Type S K20Z motor has a lot of DC5 ITR parts in it, and the dyno chart shows that they've found a way to give the wide torque band that was available on the 217 HP K20A motor in the DC5 ITR.
The dyno chart doesn't tell the whole story, because the '05 USDM Type S also has the DC5 ITR axle ratio, making it accelerate faster in all gears.
According to Jeff Palmer, the car's a joy to drive. After looking at those dyno charts, I tend to believe him and understand why.
If I bought an '05 USDM Type S, the only thing I'd want to add right away is the (very cheap and very available) DC5 ITR Torsen axle.
It looks to me like Honda/Acura really listened to what track people had been saying about the Type S and have done something about it. They also made a number of subtle but important changes to the suspenson, making the car an easier thing to drive on the track. It actually looks like they set out to make sure it was turning faster lap times that the DC2 ITR.

Wish they'd listen to the rest of us and bring the DC5R to the states...
