Default OT: Behold..the new '05 Type R

I was browsing the Honda Japan site and saw that they finally updated their Integra section. I can't read japanese so i don't know what the specs are, so i can't really say how different they are from the previous year. (Besides the obvious exterior changes) Maybe someone can translate it and post it here.

Notice the pic of the black one, the last exterior pic. They show it without a spoiler, I assume it's now an option?

I believe so. It's just like the US spec.

If they would bring the new Type R over I'd sell my car tommorrow. I love what they have done to the new RSX/Integra.

I agree. I like the new look. I recently got a '05 Type-S and judging from the pictures, all i need is to get the R spoiler, wheels, brembos and my car can "look" like the R. (Of course, it'll never be the same thing... )

Oh well, it's close enough. Has anybody been able to translate it? I'm wondering if they bumped up the engine performance at all. (US Spec '05 Type-S is 210hp and last year's Type-R was 220hp)

the dc5R looks great i admit, very nice car. however, the appeal isnt the same to me, even though both are from the same type of family. the dc2's "Type-R" blood is more rich, more raw in appeal, just like the the first civic R and the nsx-r.

Even if they were to release the new ITR into the American market, the demand would not be as great as the previous ITR. When the DC2R came out, it was hailed as the best front wheel drive car and not many cars could have matched it performance-wise. But these days with all the new competition from various companies, Honda would lose a great deal of money releasing it here. I would still buy it though, but only if it cost around the 25k mark like the DC2R's.

25k? not likely

type R isn't in US is because not enough people are willing to support the imports. there aren't enough rich people out there in north america that thinks Honda's Type Rs can be performance/luxury cars. therefore, unless someone starts to show Honda how enthusiastic north americans are in buying the NEW Type Rs, or the Type Rs will NEVER exist in north america unless you import one personally-that means you'll have to be driving on the right side of the car while others are on the left.

You guys are overlooking a major point, its the reason half of us are here to begin with, MODS.

The K series in the S and R take to mods so much better than any B series ever will. I like my R too but I'd love a new ITR. Guy in Melbourne was selling a JDM 02 ITR(33K k's) for 33k(aud) and I would have drove up there to buy it had I not bought the bannana 2 months prior.
