Hello all.

Please forgive my ignorance. I will picking my 2.2 Vti (H22a 185bhp black top) next week. When I test drove the car, I didn't invoke the Vtec (which is at 5800 if my research is right). How would I be able tell if my car is running in limp mode? I have read on these forms that the rpms are limited to 6800, and you experience reduced perfomance. Are there any other indicators for a UK car (might be different to a US or JDM car).

Thanx in advance.

sort of

90-91 knock sensors are green CIRCLE type
92-01 B18C/B16A knock sensors are black CIRCLE type
96-01 D16Y8 knock sensors are blue CIRCLE type
93-96 H22 Prelude VTEC knock sensors are black CIRCLE type
97+ H22 prelude VTEC knock sensors are green SQUARE type
99-00 B20B knock sensors are brown SQUARE type

Anyone that knows anything else, feel free to add.

As far as backwards compatability, Ive tested a brown square type on a b16 obd1 ecu and it worked with no problem.
