TRYING TO CALIBRATE FUEL GAUGE..... PLEASE HELP
I need to calibrate the needle position for the fuel gauge on my 91 Si cluster. Can anyone post a pic of what the needle position at fill-up? I would like a pic of a cluster that has never been disassembled or modified. Just a pic of a stock Si cluster's fuel gauge directly at fillup when the pump cuts itself off. I have mine adjusted, but when it is directly on empty, it still has 2.5 gallons in the tank. It is supposed to have 1.1 at empty line according to the manual, so I know it needs to go up but it is paramount that I have a close up pic of the position at fillup. When the pump cuts off on it's own, not topped off. Thanks a MILLION!!!
Man goodluck. My gas gauge varies too much depending on if i'm turning or accelerating or if the car is inclined. The manual says I have a 12 Gal tank, yet I can only put 9 Gal in there with the car dying on the way to the station.
i don't have a pic but my 88si cluster sits with the needle above the F marker, but still touching it.
i have to agree though that it jumps all over the damn place, so getting to that accurracy just isn't gonna happen.

After driving 4 days with the needle below the red hash mark I still can only get 10.5 gallons in.... I know that the stock DX tank holds alteast that, I think that it holds close to 12....
