Sometimes when I go to start my car all I hear is a click and nothing happens. If i try it a couple times it eventually starts, can anybody tell me what the problem is? Could a weak battery cause this problem?

 

probably the starter going bad. if it was the battery it doesn't make sense that the car would start after a few tries.

 

check your battery, if not, check the connections on the main relay

 

Mine does this too. I just got used to it. It did it on my old d15 and it does it on my b18c1 as well, so its gotta be something in the wiring somewhere.

I had a shop put a little current booster/relay thing on the starter on my old d15 and it fixed it. I really dont know what it was, but it made it crank every time you turned the key.

 

The only reason I think it could be the battery is because the other day it wouldn't start at all, so me and a friend got out the jumper cables and it started fine and didn't do the clicking thing. It didn't do it for a couple days after boosting it with the jumper cables and now its does.

My car does the same exact thing. I asked around what it could possibly be, but got no real answers.

 

do you hear the "wizzing sound" of the fuel pump when you have the key to on?

 

where would this "wizzing" sound be coming from? the back by the gas tank? I just tried to start it now and can't even get the car to start but I think its because the battery is dieing now. I didn't notice a wizzing sound.
