Automatic only shifts manually? Flashing D4?
The other day it was hot and my 92 DX would not start. Kept cranking but nothing. I didn't hear the fuel pump, luckily had some tools in my car,so I reached up and pulled out my main relay, took the cover off of it, and blew on it. It smelled kind of fried, but after blowing on it plugged it back in. Still wouldn't start. I disconnected the battery and reconnected the battery a couple times, unplugged the main relay a couple times, and finally got it to start. But I noticed the D4 light on the dash was flashing the green light around it. The car took off really slow, like it was in too high of a gear. I shifted to 1 and it started fine, but I had to manually shift through. Does anybody know how to get it into that mode on purpose?
so you blew on it like an old nintendo game? lol its amazing how that actually does work sometimes. the light is flashing because you are throwing a tranny code and there is something wrong with your transmission. take it to a transmission shop or honda dealer and have them run a diagnostic on it.
well my friend i think is nothing of what you did that cause the transmission to act up actually you have a transmission code.. thats why it blinks on the 90-93 model thats how you read the code.. there is a procedure but am not sure but i can tell you that what is wrong is the transmissoin computer under the passenger seat very common on that model accord ... it causes the car to start on 3 gear instead of first.... you might want to get it checked or if you know of somebody that has a car like yours maybe you can swaped just to veryfy that is the problem
