Difference in power between b20b/vtec and b20z/vtec?
I've been reading some dyno's that I've found online and the power output of each setup seems to vary greatly, but I can't seem to figure out what for considering some graphs have equal mods.
I was wondering if the higher compression of the b20z bottom (9.6:1 I believe) would create more power with a vtec conversion than the lower compression of the b20b (8.8:1 I believe) with a vtec conversion also?
Reason being, I am going to the dyno soon with my setup, and I am using a b20z bottom end and I want to have an idea of what numbers to expect. Average dyno's have such power:
b20b/vtec: i/h/e usually brings around 155hp or so
b20zvtec: i/h/e/type-r im/tb brings around 180-190 from what I've seen.
I didn't think that a simple throttle body and type r intake manifold would make 20 more hp to the wheels, but what do I know.
If anyone could elaborate for me on the subject, I would greatly appreciate it.

I ran b20b w/
1st gen Tbody
Type R intake mani
Type R cams
RC 310 inj.
DC 4-1 header
full 2.5" exhaust
