Biggest Cam I can run on a B20 Block, with a B16 Head? With stock B20 Pistons as well. Thanks in advance


For example: Buddy Club III
Skunk 2 Stage 1's.......and so on

*I know the CTR/ITR are good, but I want more*

 

I ran Jun3's on my B20 with a stock bottom end.

you would have made better power with some toda a's or CTR's...

he may have been able to dial out enough overlap to maybe make equivilant power with the jun III's but now more really.

Also, smaller cams woulda yielded better midrange.

This is why i said "better power" instead of peak power. Mid range is what counts on a street car.

 

get wicked cams!!!over 270hp on an stock ls crank!(taken from import builders,plus the setup was crazy with ultimates and everything)

 

Man I heard that the valve relief is too small for that big of a cam ----- was I told your ?

 

how do you determine the "biggest" cam? I thought they were all the same size, afterall they have to fit the same head.

the lobe size's are bigger and lift and duration are different for starters

Are you simply wanting to know maximum lift before piston to valve interference?

 

check Import Builders site......He has good results on our cams w/ b20 Vtec

Dont get the biggest and baddest cam you can get. Get a cam that suits your setup.

 

It was my dailey driver, I used Jun3s cause I had the cams from a motor that blew up.
