could u tune out of boost fuel maps using info from apexi turbo timer a/f settings?
ok my car runs alittle rough from 1000-2300 rpms. and i don;t have a wideband or money/time for a dyno sesson. so i was wandering if my apexi turbo timer a/f meter could be used to tune my out of boost fuel maps to 15.1 or close to it to save gas at idle, and to smooth out the rough spots form 1000-2300 rpms.
no flaming or gessing i want someone with experiance. also the meter will go to 13.2 up to 20 i know it will not be acurate past the narrow band range, but thought it would be nice if i could actually use it for something.
also need to know what number is richer or leaner on the unit. meaning does a 13.1 on the meter actually mean 13.1 on a wide band. or would 17.1 actually mean 13.1 on a wide band. (thats an example i know my meter can actually read 13.1 because its out of the narrow band ratios.)

Well, first off the gauge SHOULD mean what it says! I am sure you know that narrowband aint really going to help you tune **** since its only accurate from like 14-15! How many miles are on your sensor? If you are even concidering making some adjustment based on the narrowband reading I would DEMAND you get a BRAND NEW SENSOR! I would not put ANY trust in an older sensor! Espesially if you have already been dumping more fuel into the motor.
What setup are you running? RRFPR??

d16y8 with Garrett T25 turbo, and Uberdata with DSM 450 injectors.
im just having some rough spots from 1000-2300 rpms. and i was hoping maybe i could work them out on the street using my narrow bend because i would be tuning in the area that the narrow band would be acurate in.

Just use someone elses map that has the same set up as you. Should be good enough for OFF boost tuning until you can get on the dyno.
