Default ITR tranny w/4.7 final drive

i have a '94 ls, and i was thinking of doing the 98 itr tranny swap w/clutch and flywheel upgrades. is there massive gains in hp and torque? is it worth it? i eventually may do ls vtec and i'm sure then the tranny would make a huge difference. But for now, is the trans the best bang for the buck? No worries about smog and crap like that. i was also thinking about itr valve train and springs, w/itr ECU. what will happen?

the tranny wont give you any hp or tq gains it will just accelerate you faster because of the smaller gearing. I would say its a good bang for the buck for a slightly quicker vehicle depending on how much "BUCK" you gotta fork out for the bang.!!
