Default CAR STARTS WEIRD

Every mourning i leave for work my car doesn't seem to wanna start.
when i go to start the car all i hear is a clicking sound like as if my starter kicks out the i guess shaft but doesn't crank. i have to turn the key on & off about 6 times till it starts & then it will start fine all day.

Could this be a bad starter problem or could it be something else.
I have a faulty alarm in my car that i plan to replace this weekend.
i was thinking maybe since its bad, maybe the starter kill relay may have something to do with it.
Or could it just be the battery ?

what do u think may be wrong ??

100% sure because of your faulty alarm.

I think if it were your faulty alarm you wouldn't be getting even a clicking sound (if starter kill was an option).

It could be your starter but I would get the alarm fixed first and if it persists then it is your starter.

Honestly if your alarm didn't come with a starter kill then my guess would be starter .

Is this the new 5th gen you bought?

Very likely could be the ignition switch also. You might want to wiggle the key around and see if different positions cause it to start or not start. If so, it's the ignition.

mine does the same thing sometimes too. you can hear the plunger kick out, but it does nothing. sometimes if i just hold the key in the start position after about 5-8 seconds it will fire up. im gonna redo the connections on my starter kill relay to my alarm and see if that helps

Well i was about to go & buy a new starter, so i called the auto-parts stores to find out how much they cost. I was ready to spend $238 for a new one . lucky my wife was home.

She told me that the 2 year warranty that i bought covers the starter . so i took my car to where i bought it & it only cost me the $50 deductible.

Hopefully this will fix it
