Default Knocking noise during a rt turn that causes body lean

Stock '95 LX coupe. About 6 months ago I backed over the short end of a concrete retaining wall, hit it hard enough to bend the right rear wheel. Replaced the wheel. Last month while going up a clover-leaf exit off the interstate I heard a knocking noise coming from the rear of the car. Sounded like the rt rear, but not sure. I only get this noise when I make a right turn fast enough to cause body lean. Strangely enough it's worse in the rain. Also, if someone else is in the car, no noise. Mechanic says he can find nothing wrong with bearings or shocks. What could it be?
