yeah, i pulled up to the emissions building, revved, and it was on! i knew my 10 psi JRSC GSR Sedan would be in for a tough one, but i had faith. LOL


i know this isn't too exciting of a topic, but i had to take my car (formerly Rjafey's) to pass emissions in illinois. we use a loaded dynamometer and simulated driving cycle as part of the test on 1996 and older cars. to prepare, i reinstalled the stock fuel injectors from the 310's (i believe), reinstalled the entire stock exhaust sytem from the manifold all the way to the muffler, lowered the fuel pressure, and zip-tied the bypass on the SC open. then i disconnected the various relays and the like. took the car to be tested yesterday after a nice 25 minute drive. the car passed the dyno emissions test and only ahd to be taken through the "short" test. there are 2 versions, a short 2 minute and a longer 5 minute test. the only issues was the Hydrocarbon output. i passed by .001. the limit was .409, my car did a .408. but a pass is a pass and i am very excited. no suspended license for me now to put it back to "performance" trim. yeah, emissions, not too exciting, but it sure was for me.

 

i was worried about the same thing here in Oregon..... I found someone to "help me out".... so i dont even have to take the test, just pay for the tags

rafe sold me the car earlier this year when he got a new accord ... he still hangs out on the FI board ... try him there. yeah, rafe is old school to the max!! and a great guy!!
