Default Immobilizer Question!! HELP

Ok I have a 2000 LS Integra which is obd2b and it has that stupid invention people call the immobilizer in the ignition. Now my head is a 99 GSR Head. If i run a obd1 conversion harness and run a obd1 p72 ecu which does not contain a immobilizer chip will my car run? or does the immobilizer in the ignition have to be removed and replaced by a 95 95 gsr ignition with a new key? plz help im goin crazy!

I believe you have to remove the immobilizer. I'm not sure if it will disable it if you run all OBD1 harnesses and ECU. The immobilizer makes it harder for thieves to steal your car. Anyone?

i thought that the Immobilizers only came on the new K series motors. I've never heard of B series coming with them.

it's where your key has to match up with your ecu...and i don't think you have that.

nope cuz i put in a 2000 gsr ecu and it wouldnt start due to the injectors not pulsing cuz of the ignition. 2000 models no matter what gsr,ls etc they all have an immobilzer chip in the ecu as well as the ignition on the stearing column. Its a PITA. And i wasnt sure if if an ecu alone would fix my problem. But i wanna know from someone who has possibly encountered my own problem or had personal experience.

Some 98+ (Maybe 2000) Integras actually do have have the immobilizer equipped. I heard you can trick it sometimes. I don't know how though. Well I'm not a thieve for that fact.

Only 2000-2001 Integras have the immobilizer. Umm, I'm not sure if the immobilizer will be stopped if you just change your ECU. I know it's in the steering column and it sends a signal to the ECU to give power to your fuel pump (or something like that). I think the immobilizer under the column can be removed and you can start the car using the OBD1 ECU.
