yes, the rod will need to be shaved to fit the piston.

Just like putting CTR's on LS Rods! Why are you putting ITR pistons on LS rods anyway! Put P30 pistons on the rods! if these are going into an LS then dont use ITR's, the B16 Pistons will yield the same compression w/o machining the rods to fit!

yes you will need the rods "pin fit" and i disagree with the last post the itr pistons are better because they are lighter as well as teflon coated

My bad, I forgot about the teflon coating! Not sure on the weight though! USDM ITR Pistons are built have a smaller dome yielding 10.5:1 in an LS while the JDM ITR's and the JDM B16a(P30) Pistons are pretty similiar in dome height(P30 being a lil bit bigger, so it may weigh more but not by much), both yielding in the 11.0:1 to 11.1:1 CR range!

JDM ITR Pistons are not bad Pistons, but I were goin to machine the rods might as well go with the CTR's and get the most you can from OEM Pistons!

ITR Pistons do weigh more than B16 Pistons, however the difference is so minute that it really doesnt matter that much! It's only 11 grams!

GOOD POINT 11 GRAMS DOESNT SEEM MUCH BUT CONSIDER THIS... a 81 mm bseries piston weighs 2 tons at 9k rpms so to me every little bit counts just my 2 cents and yes i was refering to the jdm p73 pistons

Interesting! How did you calculate that! I know that the weight ratio of rod and pistons is 2:1, you want the weight of the pistons to be half the weight of the rods! There is a tolerence of +/- a few grams, but I dont know what that tolerence is!
