Default need a bit of help

hey.. having a lil problem.. i think it could be my clutch but heres the situation

went to the track yesterday... ran 11 runs... stock clutch... exhaust came a bit loose so i tightened it up the next day.. didnt notice anything... now i hear this rattle... it happens right after i start going or switch gears and at about 3000rpm... it sounds almost like an exhaust bolt is rattling but i checked all the bolts everywhere and couldnt find anything.. ehh dunno its kinda odd.. i wish i had a video camera to record the sound

did you check your heat shields, especially the one on your cat convertor? they like to loosen up and rattle under load.

Not much we can do to help without getting under your car. Check suspension, brake lines, heat shields, swaybars and engine mounts.

well I had the same problem, it was a part rusted off my exhaust just chillin hanging on the pipe moving up and down, it was so annoying and embarassing sounding, I still haven't taken the torch under there to cut it off, it was a sort of cuff over the resinator, it was like a circle thing like the end of the resinator where they tac the cylinder to

do you run a cold air intake? sometimes where they pass through the front fender area they will touch the metal at times under load and give you an annoying vibration. Mine had a rubber collar that would move out of place just enough for the pipe to touch the frame and it took me a while to find the noise. I got rid of the collar and used rubber hosing around that area and haven't had any trouble since. Other than that I would check your lower front P side tranny mount from under the car to see how it looks.

i figured it out... one of my exhaust bolts was rattling.. and the reason it was doing it only under load was that the engine would move ever so slightly so the exhaust would be somewhat compressed and the screw would have enough room too rattle.. but when the enigne wasnt under load it didnt move so the screw was actually being pulled by the exhaust... ehh stupid things like that
