Default I have a 93' del Sol S, AT, 161k, And i think iam doomed.

Ok, sadly enough iam only 16 and i tried to drive my 91 civic HB with a dx motor. It was stick and i kept killing it so i have to drive auto. I just got my permit. I just sold my 91 civic and planning to buy my aunts 93 del sol AT(sigh automatic..) She bought it(for 2,500, broken) with out telling me and said it was supose to be my graduation present, it was broken and she fixed it but spent over 6,000. Now shes like i want you to pay for it. And i got her to bring it down to 4,000. I still dont think its fair or a good car to pick up if its only a S type. 102hp >.< D15B7. Oh wells i guess i dont care about speed or this car, since its my first. What i really want to know from you tech people, is it possible to convert it to Manual later on and not having problems with everything. Because i'd be easyer for me since i dont want to search for another sol. I always wanted a 95' Vtec del sol. But since my aunt didnt even ask me first i mgiht be stuck with this 93' S. Should i buy it from her? I might buy it from her tomorrow so replys r welcome

Personally I wouldn't take it but it seems like you don't have much of a choice left.

I got a friend to take me 5 hours away to get my 5spd Del Sol S and I didn't know how to drive manual but made it home.

I would learn how to drive stick, get a 5spd S model. Lower insurance, no power steering. If you don't want to do a lot of work or engine swap, get a vtec model then.

EDIT: oh yeah, I got my black 5spd del sol s with perfect interior and good exterior with 190k miles (eek) on it for 3300, the bank valued it at over 4500.

auto->manual conversions have been done plenty. i havent heard or read about any nasty stories from those conversions, so you should be ok. i've never done the conversion myself, so i cant tell ya from personal experience.

h22 has a ton of headaches associated with it just so you know, go with a b18 or if you like headaches get a k20
