91 CRX Si Sunroof Problem (Searched)
I have a 1991 CRX Si with a goofey sunroof maybe you guys could help me?
It opens like new no problems there.
But when it's closing time... It won't close (unless i push it manually while pressing close button. Which is prob. Bad)
And now it wont close all the way (it goes foward but won't close down)
I gues my question is are there two different motors?
Does it sound like a bad button?
Any other gueses would be great
Thanks for reading/posting

I just installed the c/f sunroof. The most vulnarable parts are the plastic rail stops that easily break and the sliders don't retract properly. You should take the panel off and check them out. Definitely, see the .pdf your friend mentioned. I can e-mail it t you, too.
can you e-mail me that pdf file also i have the same problem but i close mine either by pushing the button several times or using the 3mm allen chris.agloro@gmail.com
there's a round plug in the headliner behind the sunroof, near the dome light. if u take that off there's a allen screw there. thats a manual way of closing the sunroof incase the motor dies w/ it open or ur battery dies in the rain etc etc etc

Here's a link to a pdf write up someone did that I saved. Sunroof Write Up
Sounds like its probably your drive link that is broken. The connector is made of damn plastic and is common to break. Use the write up to drop the sunroof tray down and you'll be able tell. It'll be cheaper to just pickup a replacement in a junkyard because the drive link alone from Honda is $150. I picked up an entire sunroof assembly for that much from a junkyard.

I had the same exact problem, the sunroof would open without any problems, but closing time I had to push the sunroof up a lil bit and press on the botton for the sunroof to close
but now I don't even have a sunroof
cuz all that rust that the brackets had finally gave out and flew off in the freeway 3 dayz ago about 4 in the morning, luckly no other cars were on the freeway at that time

Update !!! It was the switch ... Wow was i happy it works like new closing and opening. I thought i would have to fully replace it. Damn switches i suggest anyone having similar problems try chang the switch with one that works. Thanks Guys for posting and the Pdf File
Thanks for the excellent .pdf write-up
It's always a treat to see good photos along with the Helm's diagrams.
I've been a little hesitant to tear down the sunroof...looks like it could be difficult to realign everything.

APC4Life - great to hear it was something as simple as the switch!
kwichang - Its really not difficult. I've had mine out about 3 or 4 times and it bolts right back up. I'd say its more of a pain in the *** tearing down the headliner etc..lol

I've had mine out 5-6 times and agree the roof lining and crap is the hardest part, hence I just leave all that stuff out. I do have an issue with mine opening all the way back without giving it a little bit of help...I've got 3 sub-frames for the sunroof to choose from and one roof panel from S.C. that I sanded down and Por-15'd. Put it all back together and greased up the guides and the roof worked better, but still needs some help. I'm gonna put in some new guides as I got a deal on some new ones and might try another switch to see if that cures my issue.
Install alignment is cake.
Either way these roofs were a bad idea long-term in my opinion...the money someone could make doing a CF copy of the roof panel and not
a plug.
